REEDC EXAM SCHEDULEReedC school exams are held every Friday at 10:00 am in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Queens. No appointment is necessary. REQUIREMENTSTo qualify for a real estate broker license, an applicant must have at least two years of experience as a licensed real estate salesperson or 3500 points in accumulated sales. If you're not a salesperson, you may also obtain licensure if you have at least three years experience in the general real estate field (e.g., buying and selling your own property, managing property owned by your employer) and accumulate 5250 points. In order to obtain a Real Estate Broker License you must satisfactorily complete both the 75-Hour Salesperson Qualifying Course and the 45-Hour Real Estate Broker Course as approved by the NY Department of State. Additionally, you must pass the qualifying examination administered by the Department of State. Any applicant who completed the 45-hour salesperson qualifying course prior to July 1, 2008 must also complete the 30-Hour Remedial Course in order to qualify for Broker Licensure. NYS EXAMFollowing the completion of ReedC's 45-Hour Broker Course you must pass the NY State Exam to obtain your Real Estate Broker License.
